Pastor Reverend Bob Owczarczak Hello Holy Trinity, My name is Father Robert Owczarczak. You can call me Fr Bob, and I am the new administrator of the church. I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you. A little background: I am one of nine children and lived in the small town of Marilla, N.Y. I attended: St. Vincent DePaul grammar school, St. Mary’s High School, Canisius College, and I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Buffalo. After spending 5 years in the counseling field, I attended Christ the King Seminary for my Masters in Divinity. I am a huge Bills fan, love to play a variety of sports, and I get my energy from being around people. As a priest, I really stress the importance of God’s love and mercy so I will be pushing for a deeper understanding of confession and the Eucharist. I am a very casual guy, so if you come by the office I may be in a T-shirt and shorts. (I do dress up for the important events). I am looking forward to working with all of you, but I am a little nervous as I do not know the area of Dunkirk at all, so it may take me a little time to adjust. Know that whatever decisions I make I do it through prayer. I will never intentionally try to hurt anyone with my decisions but know we may also not agree, and that’s okay. My ultimate job is to get all of you one step closer to heaven, and I pray that through my time here I can do just that. Looking forward to meeting everyone, and please give me time to learn your names as that is a weakness of mine. For the Greater Glory of God (AMDG) Fr. Bob Owczarczak |
